Red House (2024): A#m/64
Alternate

This is my cover of Red House by Jimi Hendrix. I have always loved this Hendrix blues song. I hesitated covering any Hendrix songs until lately. I can't do note for note covers of his guitar playing...not in this lifetime...nor probably in the next...but I try to learn the main riffs and licks...the rest I play as best I can. Noel Redding didn't have a bass guitar at the studio when this was recorded so he grabbed an electric guitar and played some blues shuffles on the lower strings. I had to play way up the neck on my Vantage bass to come up with the blues shuffle background on this.
