Magnet And Steel (2026): B/114
This is my cover of Magnet and Steel by Walter Egan. Egan had been in a romantic relationship with Stevie Nicks on one of her frequent breaks from Lindsay Buckingham. Egan wrote this song about her and she sang background vocals and convinced Buckingham to add a vocal track as well. I've always been fascinated by Stevie Nicks (probably more than fascinated). I kept getting letters from some law firm saying something about a "restraining order". Well screw them! I split out this song and have Stevie singing background vocals for me!
I also loved the guitar solo which reminds me of old western movie soundtracks.
