Gimme Some Lovin (2026)

This is my cover of Gimme Some Lovin originally by The Spencer Davis Group with 17 year old Stevie Winwood playing organ and singing. I found a cover on YouTube by a group called Thunder. Their version was heavier with some nice crunchy guitar parts so I modeled my cover after theirs. This song was known for it's distorted Hammond Organ through a Leslie speaker supposedly played through a cranked Marshall amp. I found a plugin for my Midi keyboard and then added some distortion plugins as well to get close to that sound. This song has an almost hypnotic beat...love it.
